The Yellow Brick Road Project is dedicated to the cleaning up of trash and illegal dumping, as well as overgrown vegetation that’s present on the unused railways of Vallejo, most especially the 4 blocks of Rail Road section that starts at Georgia St. and passes Ozcat Entertainment and The Vallejo Recreation District, which includes the Vallejo Recreation center, Vallejo adult School, and the Tennis Courts and Baseball Fields at Amador Park ending at Florida St.

This particular section of the railway is frequently used, by many citizens of the community especially the youth, as a pedestrian walk way due to its convenient location to surrounding community recreation locations.

Our goal is to take a forgotten railway that’s been used to dump trash, household appliances, furniture, tires and glass, clean it up and revitalize the area. We at Ozcat are committed and determined to create a safe and clean community, and believe that a clean adopted pedestrian walkway that we at Ozcat call “The Yellow Brick Road“ is a perfect way to get people involved in a positive cause as well as benefit our local community.

Ozcat Staff and volunteers have already made a dramatic improvement in our section of the “Yellow Brick Road Project” with man power and the use of rakes, rock rakes, hoes, and a pick axes. We have also contacted Solano Waste Management, and they have committed to take any trash and debris we collect, as long as we dispose of it in the right way such as paint, tiers, televisions ect. We also have made contacts at the local schools and are getting the teachers involved, with the hope that the youth will get involved in community projects and activities. We at Ozcat plan a community cleanup project that involves music, smiles, and the togetherness of all ages where the community walks away feeling good about where they live, what they did, and are inclined to do more.

Ozcat looks forward to your help and involvement in making a cleaner safer Vallejo for
its citizens young and old. For more information about “The Yellow Brick Road Project”
